Before You Go to Shibuya Sky

Short answer: book adult tickets online — if they sell out online, the counter has none either. On the rooftop you can only carry your phone and a pocket-size camera; everything else goes in a 46th-floor locker.

Hours and tickets

• Hours: 10:00–22:30, last entry 21:20. Closed on New Year's Day; may close or shorten hours on other days. No time limit once inside.
• Adults: ¥3,000 before 15:00, ¥3,700 from 15:00 (GO TOKYO, updated April 2026).
• Children's tickets are sold only at the counter on the day; under 5 free.
• Sunset: GO TOKYO suggests booking about 30 minutes before sunset and allowing time for the queue. Sunset ranges from about 16:30 in early December to about 19:00 in late June.

Rooftop rules (what trips people up)

• Not allowed on the rooftop: luggage, food, drink, animals, loose hats, earphones, tripods, selfie sticks. Scarves are forbidden (JNTO).
• Allowed: your phone, glasses, cameras with a strap or that fit in a pocket.
• Lockers on the 46th floor; for larger luggage use lockers near Shibuya Station.
• Weather: the rooftop may close in bad weather or strong winds, and there are no refunds after entry.

Getting there

• Directly connected to Shibuya Station (Shibuya Scramble Square, 14F/45F/46F/rooftop). No parking of its own.

Not confirmed by an official source, so left out: exact sale-opening time for advance tickets, and reports of passport checks at entry from Nov 19, 2026 — we could not read these on the official site today (it loads by script). Check the official site before booking.
